Just Hanging Out

It has been a long time since I have updated the blog so I thought I better get to it. I have had a rough couple of months as the news about my foot has been very frustrating. We have depleted the local resources and are now reaching out to bigger and  better hospitals. Next stop, U of M, as we seek professionals willing to operate and remove the scar tissue left by the sclerosing agents injected in my foot. In the mean time, I sit around in pain. Fortunately we have opened the pool and on nice warm days it’s a great distraction. On the cooler days, I am making use of my awesome Mother’s Day gift of a basket full of cotton yarn. I am making hanging dish towels and wash cloths, and maybe even swiffer covers. Fun easy summer projects. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use out of the towels as we have extended many open-ended invitations to join us in our pool. So hopefully, this summer will find me so busy I will not notice the pain in my foot as much. The hardest part is accepting the differences in my life due to my foot. Knitting helps. Knitting dish towels is just fun, try it, you will see.
